Thermotherapy (sauna)

Thermotherapy is a treatment method that uses controlled heat exposure to body tissues. At ReStart, thermotherapy is an important part of physical rehabilitation, especially in cases of chronic pain, muscle spasms, inflammation, and as a preparation for massage or kinesiotherapy.
How does thermotherapy work?
Heat dilates blood vessels, activates blood circulation and accelerates metabolic processes in the affected area. Thanks to this:Inflammation and swelling are reduced
Pain impulses on receptors are reduced
Deep muscle layers relax
Lymphatic drainage and toxin removal are activated.
Stimulates tissue repair and ligament elasticity
Who is it recommended for?
People with chronic muscle and joint pain
For patients with muscle spasms and tension
For people in the rehabilitation period after injuries and surgeries
People with reduced joint mobility
Patients with circulatory disorders in the extremities
For those experiencing stress, fatigue and sleep disturbances
Main indications
-
Chronic muscle pain, spasms
-
Osteoarthritis, arthritis, radiculopathy
-
Post-traumatic and postoperative conditions
-
Muscle hypotonia, joint stiffness
-
Myofascial pain syndrome
-
Microcirculation disorders, “cold extremities”
-
Stress, anxiety, sleep disturbances
Advantages of the procedure
Natural pain relief without medication
Relaxation of deep muscle layers
Reducing swelling and inflammation
Improving blood and lymph circulation
Increasing the elasticity of ligaments and muscles
Improving joint mobility
Preparing the body for physical activity
Accelerate recovery from injuries
General relaxation and stress reduction
Contraindications
-
Acute inflammatory processes (especially of the joints)
-
Fever, general intoxication
-
Oncopathology
-
Skin sensitivity disorders (neuropathy)
-
Active phase of varicose veins or thrombosis
-
Skin diseases in the affected area
How does the session work?
A thermotherapy session begins with a consultation with a doctor or physical therapist, after which the optimal method of exposure is selected (electric heat, paraffin therapy, infrared radiation or wrap), and the treatment area is isolated to ensure local and maximally effective heat action.
Duration: 60 minutes.
Recommended course: 2–3 times a week, often in combination with exercise therapy or massage (calculated individually for each patient).
Results
Reducing chronic pain
Elimination of muscle spasms
Increased joint mobility
Improving tissue nutrition
Reducing tension in the body
Acceleration of recovery processes
Improving sleep quality
Reducing fatigue and stress
General improvement in physical well-being
